This makes about two cups.

  • 2 C water
  • 2 dried guajillo chiles, seeded
  • 3 dried chiles de arbol, seeded to taste
  • half can of crushed tomato
  • half onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • half T Knorr chicken boullion powder
  • half t salt
  • sprinkle of dried oregano

See the chiles by cutting them in half lengthwise and shaking the seeds out. Boil everything for about ten minutes, then blend. Serve over fried tortilla pieces, top with a sunny side up egg with cilantro and cotija cheese. Use leftover sauce for a casserole.
